Vylyan

A wine worthy of interest can only be produced from excellent grapes. This is why the vineyards are treated with special care at Vylyan Winery, thus guaranteeing the quality of its wines. Their fruity, full-flavoured taste reflects the countless time and effort put in growing and processing the grapes.

This year they have won the honorific title of ‘The winery of the year’, that is an acknowledgement of the achievements of all the people working for the winemaking company. The title is given each year to the winery that proves to be the most active in promoting and improving the quality of Hungarian wines, winemaking and wine-consumption both within and outside the country.

Pál Debreczeni, the founder of the winery aimed at building a trendsetter, remarkable and important business, specialized in red wines, according to the land’s endowments. The first priority has always been the high quality of wines, and that became a basic principle in every aspect of the activity, from choosing the terroirs to introducing the wines on the market.

The extraordinary terroir hand in hand with the team of experts, with professional open-mindedness, and with the conscientious, hard work of many years came to fruition. Today, Vylyan is one of the most important wineries of the Villány region.

It is located near the village of Kisharsány, in a picturesque valley of Fekete Hill called ‘Dobogó dűlő’, whereas the vineyards can be found on the beautiful slopes of Villány Hills.
Mónika Debreczeni, the managing director of Vylyan Winery holds degrees in economics and translation, and in 2003, she graduated in the London Institute of Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
